More info: Calpe is a seaside town located in the province of Alicante, in the region of Valencia.

The massive iconic rock that overlooks the town of Calpe is called the Peñón de Ifach. Climbing to the top is not for the faint hearted but offers stunning views even as far as the island of Ibiza.

One of the main beaches in Calpe is Playa del Arenal-Bol which is 1.5 kilometers long and the longest beach in Calpe. Alongside this beach is the attractive promenade with shops, bars and restaurants. Playa de la Fossa, also known as Playa Levante, is the second main beach of the popular resort. It is located north of the city center and many travellers consider it to be the most beautiful beach in Calpe.

In the middle of the two main beaches, Playa de la Fossa and Playa de Arenal-Bol, lies the small and beautiful bay of Playa de Cantal Roig. It is just around the corner of the tranquil fishing port and in the background stands the mighty Peñón de Ifach rock. This beautiful fine sandy beach slopes very gently and the bay functions as a shelter against big waves.

The town of Calpe has a long-standing tradition of fishing and watersports, above all sailing. Sitting alongside the old fishing port is a modern marina and the port area has an International Diving Centre, sailing school and the Royal Calpe Yacht Club.
