More info: Fistral Beach is the perfect family beach offering the pleasures of sea and surf combined with first class beach and seafront facilities. The beach is a wide expanse of golden sand with the headlands of Pentire to the south and Towan to the north.

Fistral Beach is best known for surfing. Due to being west-facing, it is exposed to Atlantic swells ensuring consistent waves suitable for surfing. The beach is the venue for major international surfing competitions and a competition suite for judges and competitors has been built at North Fistral along with a surf museum.

The Cribbar is a reef at the north end of the beach, which causes waves to break when the swell is high. It is considered to be Cornwall's premier "big wave" location with wave faces as high as 30 feet (9.1 m). The International Surfing Centre located at Fistral Beach, is a complex with a variety of businesses from restaurants and retail outlets to surf hire.
