Karon beach is on the west coast of Phuket and is generally quieter than Patong.
The webcam is located at the Marina Phuket Resort which overlooks the beach and the Andaman Sea.
More info: Karon beach is located on the west coast of Phuket and is one of the longest beaches on the island, spanning 5 km of fine white sand overlooking the Andaman Sea. Karon has long been among the most popular of Phuket’s beaches, along with neighbouring Patong Beach (to the north) and Kata Beach (to the south).
The northern third of Karon Beach is essentially undeveloped and flanked by Nong Harn Lake which is the largest beach side park in Phuket with a cycling and jogging path. North Karon also offers a whitesandy beach and clear water with no crowds.
At the south end of Karon a narrow road between Kata and Karon has a number of small businesses as well as the Dino Park Mini Golf facility. There is a regular daytime bus service to and from Phuket Town.
Karon beach has very good snorkelling and dive sites. All the major beaches (such as Patong beach, Kata beach, Karon Beach, Nai Han beach, Mai Khao beach, Nai Yang beach) offer instruction and equipment for diving, Snorkelling, windsurfing and sailing.
