Three Anchor Bay Beach has spectacular views of Signal Hill and Lion's Head. It is popular, particularly with sea kayakers who paddle out from Three Anchor Bay along the coast to Clifton.
Close by is the candy-cane-striped Green Point Lighthouse, which dates to the early 1800s.

More info: Three Anchor Bay is a small, sheltered cove between Mouille Point and Sea Point. It has a sandy beach and a slipway, used mainly by recreational boat owners. It is also the main putin point for surfskiers and seakayakers.
Three Anchor Bay was originally called Lion’s Cove, by Jan van Riebeeck, due to its proximity to what he knew as the Lion Mountain (later Lion’s Head and the Lion’s Rump, or Signal Hill). In 1795, when the Dutch colony was facing attack by British invaders, three massive anchors with chains attached were fixed across the entrance of the cove to thwart enemy landings. The British however, succeeded in landing at Muizenberg in False Bay, and before long had taken occupation of the Cape. By 1800, the cove was commonly known as Three Anchor Bay.
