More info: At West Kirby Beach, there are four small islands close to the beach which can be reached on foot at low tide.

Next to the beach is the West Kirby Marine Lake, a 52 acre, five foot deep saltwater lake, which has watersports like sailing, windsurfing, and kayaking. On the south side of the lake is the West Kirby Sailing School.
