San Sebastián has three beaches, Concha, Ondarreta, and Zurriola. The beach of Zurriola is on a very picturesque stretch of coast, surrounded by mountains, with its natural borders being Mount Ulia and the Urumea River. Zurriola Beach often becomes a platform for cultural events in the open. It hosts the annual jazz festival, as well as numerous competitions in water sports.
