More info: Ocean Isle Marina is located approximately 2 miles west of the Odell Williamson/Ocean Isle Beach Bridge and approximately 2 miles east of the Sunset Beach Bridge.

The Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway winds down the East Coast of the United States for 1,200 miles, acting as a great sheltered artery for shipping. It was built between 1793 and 1939 by private canal companies and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; the section through North Carolina was built between 1914 and 1934. During World War II the waterway provided protection for barges carrying vital supplies, from enemy submarines lurking off the coast.
