More info: Bol is a small beachside town on the southern side of the island of Brac. It is located around 33km from the city of Split and is a popular day trip destination from there. The ferry journey from Split to Bol takes around 50 minutes.
The star attraction of Bol is Zlatni Rat Beach, which has a characteristic long spit of sand stretching out into the ocean known as the Golden Horn. It is a popular hang out especially for the young. Bol is also one of the best windsurfing destinations in Europe due to it's reliable and stable mistral wind which picks up through the day, making it ideal for beginners in the morning and experts in the afternoon
This hilltop monastery of Blaca which was used for over 400 years, is one of Bol’s hidden gems. Monks once inhabited the Monastery, producing olive oil, wine and honey. The monastery, now a museum, is off the beaten path and has to be reached on foot.
