More info: The Prince of Wales Pier is situated within the Inner Harbour of Falmouth. It provides landing and boarding facilities for ferries, trip boats, small fishing vessels and local leisure craft. Ferries leave from here to travel across the bay and up the River Fal.
The foundation stone for the pier was laid on 20 July 1903 by HRH Prince of Wales, later King George V, after whom the pier was named. The pier is home to a memorial to Operation Chariot, which was one of the most daring raids of World War Two, which was a British amphibious operation which departed from Falmouth.
