Havenstreet Station, Live Train Webcam



More info: Havenstreet Station opened in 1875 and was an intermediate stop on what became the Ryde and Newport Railway, Isle of Wight Central Railway, Southern Railway and British Rail – late being renamed Havenstreet in 1958. The station was closed in 1966 but re-opened in 1971 as the headquarters of the Isle of Wight Steam Railway.

Since re-opening there has been the construction of a locomotive works, carriage and wagon repair works, additional sidings and a café. The former gasworks has been opened to the public as a shop and museum, the water tower formerly at Newport was re-erected at Havenstreet in 1971.

Locomotives and Carriages have been painstakingly restored to pristine condition The oldest locomotive at Havenstreet was built in 1876 and carriages date back to 1864.
