The maximum authorized number is 106 vessels a day - on August 2nd, 2019, 81 ships went through the canal, breaking a record. A bulk carrier of about 33000 gross tonnage, sailing from Asia to East coast of USA pays about US $300-400K for a one way passage via the suez canal.
