More info: The seaside resort of Hunstanton was first established by Henry Styleman Le Strange in 1845. It was a purpose-built resort and still retains its Victorian charm and character to this day. The town has several stately Victorian squares and Boston Square provides a view across the Wash to Boston in Lincolnshire, and Boston Stump is visible on a clear day.
Hunstanton is renowned for its unusual striped cliffs and magnificent sunsets, made special by its position as the only west-facing resort on the east coast of England. As well as the attractive sandy beach and seafront, wind conditions are often suitable for sailing, windsurfing and kite surfing. Other attractions and activities include crazy golf, pitch-and-putt, a Sea Life Centre, theatre, leisure centre, gardens, amusements and pony rides.
