  • Info: Live streaming Kure Beach webcam in North Carolina. Kure Beach is a town in New Hanover County, approximately 15 miles south of Wilmington. Kure Beach is home to the oldest fishing pier on the Atlantic Coast and beautiful seaside surroundings.

More info: Kure Beach is situated on Pleasure Island directly south of the Wilmington Beach annex of Carolina Beach and just north of Fort Fisher.

Directly across the street from both Kure Beach Fishing Pier and the beach is the Moran Motel which dates back to 1959. With its vintage jade-green and pink-brick color scheme, it has been used in a number of feature films and TV movies.

The largest land-sea battle of the Civil War was fought at Fort Fisher, near Kure Beach. Fort Fisher State Historic Site is the South’s largest earthen fort and site of this historic battle.

Lying 700 yards offshore from Kure Beach in 25 feet of water, are the reamins of the Civil War blockade runner Condor, the first stop om North Carolinas Heritage Dive Site trail.
