More info: Malaga is situated in southern Spain, on the Costa de Sol, which stretches around 200km from Gibraltar in the far west until Nerja in the east. It is located in the centre of a bay surrounded by mountain ranges: the Sierra de Mijas and the mountains of Málaga.
One of the main attractions in Málaga is the Alcazaba, a Moorish fortress that dates back to the 11th century. It is one of the best-preserved examples of Islamic architecture in Spain and offers stunning views of the city Málaga also has many museums, including the Picasso Museum, which houses a large collection of works by the famous artist.
Malaga is well known for its nightlife, especially in the summer months. In the centre, Plaza de Uncibay and Plaza de la Merced are lively nightlife areas with clubs open until around 4am. Malaga has a large array of lively Beach Clubs and rooftop bars boasting an energetic atmosphere and panoramic views.
