Each July, thousands of music fans gather at Pori’s Kirjurinluoto to attend the annual Pori Jazz Festival. The first festival was held in 1966 and today Pori Jazz is one of the major jazz festivals in Europe as well as one of the largest culture events in Finland.
Yyteri beach is located in Pori. The sand dunes of Yyteri stretch out for over six kilometres and attract thousands of Finns each summer. Yyteri also has golf and spa facilities.
Kallo Lighthouse dates back to the 19th century and is located on a rocky island about 20 kilometres from the city centre of Pori. Kallo is highly unusual among Finland's lighthouses, in that it can be reached by car, and it is therefore a popular destination for visitors.
