More info: Redondo Beach is one of three adjacent beach cities along the southern part of Santa Monica Bay. As well as a surfing and beach volleyball mecca, it is well known for being home to the original Baywatch TV series.
The horseshoe-shaped pier is good for fishing and has many restaurants and shops.
The famous “Fire Chief” drink can only be found at Tony’s On the Pier at the Redondo Beach Pier. It is a powerful concoction—a special Mai Tai with a kick made from light and special dark rum, fruit juices, a splash of grenadine and a floater of 151 Rum. it got its name because the bartender used to light the drink before serving it to customers but the Redondo Beach Fire Department ended the practice years ago.
